He tried to build on one of my grape islands.his bad. I'd rather have to make 2 cities on 2 islands rather then see my city become one of these infamous strip mall cities.Īnybody got a pic of a real city ? ( Some strip malling is understandable.especially at the start of the game).so that would be ok.but no pics of striped cities please.I've seen enough of them.Įven with my altered approach to my city building, I still make enough and ascend faster then 2 medium AI opponents.one of who at this moment is being bombarded back into the stone age. I do understand the area of effect is severely limited on several types of buildings.and yes you want to have as many people as possible for the tax income.but still.after you get trading really going ( passive and active).taxes should not be that important anymore.Įven my city that started as a strip mall is being altered to give it a more organic, realistic feel.winding streets, alleyways, parks, vacant lots. Has anybody built a city that actually looks like a city ? Most cities ( in real life ) start as planned but over the years become more widespread and irregular.just look at your own town if you want an example. I understand the desire to cram as many people on to an island as possible.but they all look the same after awhile.really ugly and boring. Many of the cities layouts I've seen don't even have walls or towers and what have you.just gigantic striped cities across their islands. I mean a real city and not just strip malls across the islands.
